From "Other Mountains" to "Jigongshan", from "Cultural Confidence" to "Cultural Consensus for a Community of Human Destiny"

     In the book of poetry, Xiao Ya - Crane Song, it is said: "The stone of another mountain can attack jade". Different cultures are each other's "other mountains", and culture can only flourish if it is intertwined with each other. "Survive or perish?" This ancient proposition still haunts us even today. The only way to solve this problem is to exchange and learn from different cultures, which is the cultural consensus of the community of human destiny. Jigongshan, from rejecting "other mountains" in the past, to today's view of the mountains in the end what is more.

     A hundred years ago, there used to be a famous international village in this place called "Jigongshan", where people with different cultural backgrounds were attracted by the "green mountains and green water" and began to build homes together in Jigongshan. During this period, foreigners from more than twenty countries, including Britain, France and the United States, built more than five hundred buildings with various styles of each country and inhabited more than two thousand foreigners. However, at that time, China was "weak and sickly", no self-confidence, this is known as the "Museum of Universal Architecture" of the building complex gradually became "empty city". In recent years, with the full rise of China, Jigongshan has ushered in a new era. Nowadays, Jigongshan is still a green mountain with green water, rated as a national 4A level scenic area, and the construction of a number of cultural projects, led by the Jigongshan International Art Zone, has added more profound cultural connotations to the area. With the international famous art exhibition "Asia Art Fair" settled, Jigongshan again attracted foreign artists from all over the world, a new "international cultural town" is quietly generated.

     The 26th Xinyang Tea Culture Festival "Jigongshan Art Exhibition" and the 10th Asian Art Fair will kick off on April 29, 2018 in Jigongshan International Art Zone. Art exhibitions, summit forums, landscape sketching, live performances and other rich activities will be carried out throughout, which is the largest "parallel exhibition" in China four years after the official entry of the Asian Art Fair into Europe. Under the strong support of Xinyang Municipal Government, all the facilities of Jigongshan Scenic Area and Jigongshan International Art Zone will be open to the public, and nearly one hundred artists from Asia, Europe and America will display their works without discrimination or nationality.      As one of the three major professional art fairs in Beijing, AATS, approved by the Ministry of Commerce, has been successfully held for five consecutive years.
