Chen Ping (1962-2013), PRC crosstalk actor
[Ambassador of Guizhou Tourism and Culture. Chairman of the International Folk Art Organization in China, expert of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), visiting professor at the Academy of Fine Arts of Shanghai University, doctoral supervisor, director of the International Folk Art Research Institute of Guizhou University.]
This is the colorful Guizhou, but also the Guizhou of culture and ideas.
Guizhou is by no means only the colorful Guizhou, but also the Guizhou of humanity and the Guizhou of ideas. Whether national, world, traditional or modern, all coexist on this piece of land, so Guizhou is also the Guizhou of the world. Because of this, it needs more people to recognize and love it, and at the same time, it also needs more people to make efforts for its development and construction.
Chen Ping: "Out of my love for Guizhou, I hope to do my bit for your state."
Chen Ping revealed, "Next year will be in Guizhou5708The factory site was built into a most beautiful, never-ending international ethnic folk art and crafts expo city."
Among them, the exhibition venue will bring together handicraft artworks, exhibits, and products from all over the world; where various folk festivals, exhibitions, songs and dances, forums, training bases for young people's traditional cultural experience, summer camps, research centers for creative design of folk art masters, folk museums, and folk art theaters will be held. Folk elements and fashionable design will meet here, world and Chinese art will dialog here, and tradition and fashion will collide with new inspiration and sparks here. It is hoped that visitors, especially children, will learn about national culture as well as world culture here, arouse their pride in national culture, respect and love for traditional culture, and give more craftsmen a sense of dignity and belonging to concentrate on passing on their skills.
Chen Ping emphasized: "The inheritance of culture relies on people, and only people can make culture and art pass on from generation to generation and live on. From these exquisite handicrafts in the Min Expo, we can not only appreciate the beauty of technical production, but also touch the heritage of history and feel the peace and wisdom of our ancestors. In the restless and noisy present, let's be quiet, savor the elegance and beauty of these fingertips, and let the craftsmanship that originally belonged to us return to society."
Just as the Indian proverb says:“Let's stop, walk a little slower, and wait for our souls.“
City of hope for wealth and tranquility
Chen Ping is also full of affection for Gui'an New District, the host of this year's Min Expo. She believes that the word "Gui'an" itself is full of beautiful Chinese symbolism: rich and peaceful. It is noble in humanities, landscape and nature; and peaceful in new ecology, high technology, big data, big creativity, new residents, and living and working in peace and happiness.
Chen Ping: "A city that is both expensive and peaceful will definitely benefit the people, make their livelihoods secure, benefit inheritance, and be easy to develop, thus realizing the realm of beauty and common ground."
The reason why a city is beautiful, not only from its good mountains and water, but from it has good people and good feelings. When people have three or five friends and confidants in a city, there will be for the city's attachment and affection, so the city becomes more beautiful. For Chen Ping, Guizhou is just like that. She also hopes that people, like her, from understanding Guizhou to love Guizhou, Guizhou, and together for its prosperity to do more efforts.
Finally, Chen Ping quoted the German philosopher Hegel Shukaku—History is like a pile of ashes, the fire has been extinguished, but the afterglow is still there, we put our hands into it, not to light the ashes, but to feel the afterglow. She said, "As a tourism and cultural ambassador of Guizhou, I am honored to be able to travel with all of you and to be in the middle of this history as a participant in it, even if we are just a piece of rubble or a bunch of dust in the long river of history."
