Ma Shunxian was born in 1966, graduated from Henan University, Department of Fine Arts, a member of the Chinese Artists Association, Shenzhen Art Association of Chinese Painting Art Committee Secretary General, Tsinghua University, Chinese Painting Advanced Study Classes, is the city's outstanding young and middle-aged Chinese painters. This exhibition displays 111 pieces of Mr. Ma Shunxian's masterpieces in recent years. The exhibition presents Ma Shunxian's sketches and creations of birds and flowers in two parts, namely, "Writing and Creating" and "Gas and Elephant", so that the audience can feel how he goes to the nature to observe and sketch through these works, and thus get inspiration for his creations and find artistic inspiration. Through these works, the audience can feel how he went to the nature to observe and sketch, so as to get the inspiration for creation, find the source of living water for artistic creation, melt the vitality of nature into the traditional forms of brush and ink, and truly understand the inner spirit of the word "pictorial" in bird and flower painting.

      When talking about Ma Shunxian's artistic creation, Chen Xiangbo, the director of Shenzhen Guanshanyue Art Museum, said: "In the historical development of Chinese painting, the tradition of realistic flower and bird painting has been formed, which is based on sketching, and the tradition of allegory and writing is the basis of sketching. The so-called "sketching" is to express the different vitality and characteristics of flowers, birds, grasses and trees by "moving them around and changing their qualities". The so-called "Xingxing" is to express the author's unique feelings through the depiction of flowers, birds and trees, and to express feelings and aspirations on the basis of the objects. The so-called ideogram, is to emphasize the dominant role of the intention, the pursuit of Chinese calligraphy, as the art of expressing the feelings of the author, not because of the image of the object and the restrictions on the expression of their own thoughts and feelings. Therefore, the writing of flowers and birds is often related to personnel, it is not copied from nature, but closely grasp the flowers, birds, grass and trees and people's life experience, thoughts and feelings of some kind of connection and give to strengthen. It not only attaches importance to the truth and requires that flower and bird paintings have the cognitive function of "recognizing the names of birds, beasts and trees", but also emphasizes the expression of the artist's subjective feelings and the concepts of beauty and goodness, and stresses the amorous function of "seizing the creation and transferring the spirit", and advocates that the inner thoughts and pursuit of the author should be expressed through the creation and enjoyment of flower and bird paintings.       In Ma Shunxian's works, the life of flowers, birds, grasses and trees is integrated with the nature of the universe. What he pursues is not only to express the natural ecology of flowers, birds, grasses and trees, but also to express the purification and cultivation of his own spiritual realm by means of the scenery, and he expresses the state of clarity and his own unique feelings which are the common aspiration of people in an original way.

      This exhibition started on June 26th and lasted for 8 days.
