This marks the first time a Chinese author has received this award.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"line-height:2;font-size:14px;font-family:SimSun;\">&nbsp; &nbsp; The winner of this year\u2019s Hugo Award for Best Novel is the first book in the English-language edition of *The Three-Body Problem* series. Liu Yukun, the translator, attended this year\u2019s World Science Fiction Convention on behalf of Liu Cixin and took the stage to accept the award. The English edition of the first book in the *The Three-Body Problem* series has an average rating of four and a half stars (out of five) on Amazon, with the majority of reviews from both critics and readers being positive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height:2;font-size:14px;font-family:SimSun;\">Named in honor of Hugo Gensb\u00e4ck, a world-renowned science fiction writer of the 20th century, this award in the science fiction literary world is presented by the World Science Fiction Society and is known as the Hugo Award. The 2015 award was determined by a vote of the World Science Fiction Society\u2019s 5,950 members, setting a record for the highest number of votes cast.
