\n\t      Reported by Huang Xiaole, a reporter for this magazine<\/strong>  On January 16, the kickoff ceremony for Season 5 of the \u201cYuan Plan\u2014Perfect Holiday\u201d program, organized by the China Next Generation Education Foundation and sponsored by LG, was held at the Beijing Youth Political College.<\/span>This is the fifth batch of the program, which organizes 1,000 college students to return to their hometowns during winter and summer breaks to carry out large-scale public welfare activities\u2014such as providing one-on-one assistance and conducting surveys for impoverished left-behind children\u2014based on family ties and proximity.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t      A total of 1,000 college student volunteers from 48 universities, including Tsinghua University and Peking University, participated in this season\u2019s event and received their \u201cWarmth Kits\u201d on-site. During the winter break, they will return to their hometowns and visit the homes of local residents to provide one-on-one assistance to 3,000 impoverished left-behind children in their hometowns, helping the children stay warm through the winter and enjoy a happy Lunar New Year.<\/span>\n<\/div>\n
