\n\t     It is understood that Danxia landform (Danxia landform) that is dominated by terrestrial (may contain non-terrestrial interlayer) red layer (not limit the age of the red layer) development of landforms with steep cliff slopes. At present, this definition is accepted by most scholars, and can also be expressed as \"red layer landforms characterized by steep cliff slopes\". Danxia landforms in China is widely distributed, has identified 1005 Danxia landforms, distributed in 28 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities, special administrative regions). In the tropical and subtropical humid zone, temperate humid - semi - humid, semi-arid - arid zone and the Tibetan Plateau alpine zone are distributed; the lowest elevation can be formed in the east of the coastal zone, the highest elevation can be found in the Tibetan Plateau of more than 4,000m. However, it is relatively concentrated in the southeast, southwest and northwest regions. In addition to China, it is also found in Central Europe and Australia, with China being the most widely distributed.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t     In 1928, Feng Jinglan and others named the red strata constituting Danxia Mountain and the corresponding strata in northern Guangdong as \"Danxia Layer\", and in 1938, Chen Guoda first put forward the concept of \"Danxia Mountain Terrain\", and in 1939, he formally used the concept of \"Danxia Terrain\". In 1939, Chen Guoda officially used the taxonomic term \"Danxia Terrain\", and the concepts of Danxia Layer and Danxia Terrain (terrain i.e. landforms) have been used ever since.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t\n<\/p>\n

\n\t     Sichuan Province is one of the provinces in China with the largest distribution area of Danxia landforms, the best development of Danxia landforms, and the best combination of natural and humanistic Danxia landscapes. In Xinlong County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, on the western Sichuan Plateau at an altitude of more than 4,000 meters, well-developed and large-scale Danxia landforms have been found. From the declaration of national scenic spots to the World Geopark, World Natural Heritage, from scientific research to tourism development, his footprints throughout the Danxia reflect the hot land.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t     In the 40 years of reform and opening up, under Prof. Peng Hua's dedication, Danxia Mountain has grown into a world-famous mountain, a global research base of Danxia geomorphology and a model of sustainable development. The bond between a mountain and a person is forever engraved in the Red Cliffs of Danxia, and at the end of July 2010, China successfully passed six famous mountains to become a World Natural Heritage Site at one time, which is still the only case in the world.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t     The National Symposium on Red Layer and Danxia Geomorphology is held regularly under the initiative of Prof. Peng Hua. The 18th National Academic Symposium on Red Layer and Danxia Geomorphology and Symposium on Tourism Development of Xinlong County in Xinlong County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province, was also under the leadership of Prof. Peng Hua.
