2023-07-07(Reported by Zhang Chong, Correspondent) On August 19, 2015, the “Chinese Dream—Exhibition of Masterpieces by Contemporary Masters,” organized by the Charity China Academy of Calligraphy and Painting at the Central Party School, the Academy of Calligraphy and Painting at the National Academy of Governance, and the Guoyi Art Museum, opened with great fanfare at the Guoyi Art Museum. The works on display in this exhibition are by calligraphers and painters Wu Xiu, Miao Chong’an, Chen Yadan, Kong Zi, Pei Kaiyuan, Peng Liming, Wang Cheng, and Wang Qingjie. The exhibited works comprehensively reflect the artistic philosophy of contemporary calligraphers and painters—rooted in the people and daily life, attuned to nature, and attuned to the spirit of the times—as well as their creative orientation of singing the praises of the era and expressing their sentiments for the people, artistically recreating the grandeur of our times.
It is understood that since the Guoyi Art Museum launched its “Chinese Dream” and “Guoyi Masters” exhibition series, it has hosted several invitational exhibitions featuring renowned Chinese calligraphers and painters and has provided dedicated exhibition spaces. Since its establishment and opening in December 2012, the museum has hosted more than 100 large-scale art exhibitions, showcasing tens of thousands of works and attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors. Currently, the Guoyi Art Museum has evolved from a single-entity art museum at its inception into a comprehensive cultural and artistic exhibition institution.
