How a child after 80 years of age can master such a major subject, and thus achieve great success, many readers with curiosity want to find out ......

Guan Xiaohan, born in 1988. His clean-cut face is in marked contrast to his masculine character. He was born in a military family, his father, grandfather, great-grandfather were soldiers, in this family environment under the cultivation of the child since childhood from the elders, and constantly learn from the unique spirit of the military sentiment, the body gradually revealed the unique temperament of the military. When he was in junior high school, he began to learn dial-up Internet access, with great interest in constantly paying attention to military forums. He asked his father a question: "Dad, this doesn't feel right. His father, Guan Jie, has always insisted on advocating that his son's mind be refreshed by the excellent cultural education of the Chinese nation; he lets his child read the classics, watch authentic art, and takes him to see plays and Beijing operas. Whenever there is a major interview, he insists on taking his son along. In high school, when his homework was very intense, Guan Xiaohan had already finished reading Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Water Margin against TV dramas, and watched all the Hollywood blockbusters depicting war that he had scrounged up. In addition, he often went to the stalls to buy those military historical materials, such as "Classic Battle Cases"; "Liu Bocheng's Military Essays" published in the Yan'an period; the military history of various famous armies and so on. After plucking them back, he read them hungrily. In his second year of high school, a strong desire to create, inspired him to give up his homework, focusing on writing a long novel "Dianwu War", his father was surprised to see, but could not help but persuade him to study, stop this large part of the writing program. With a sigh, the son suddenly ventured out to his father, "But I still want a subject, which is about the180Division's, I'll have to write it sooner or later." "Well, when you get a chance, I'll help you!" Father said cheerfully.

In 1951, the 180th Division of the Volunteer Army was surrounded by the United States Army in the Fifth Battle, and suffered heavy losses, which, for various historical reasons, have been kept quiet for more than 60 years. Under the veil of mystery, gossips were spread among the people, "the whole division was destroyed", "the flag was surrendered", "the division commander was shot" and so on.180The officers and soldiers of the division have written a number of memoirs in an effort to clarify the facts and restore the truth in order to set the record straight, but they have never been published.

In the Spring Festival of 2011, the Guan father and son were introduced to General Liang Yulin by a friend. Guan Jie decided to write this book, he turned his attention to his son, "I remember you spoke in the past about writing the story of the 180th division, do you still feel the same way?" , "Dad, this desire of mine is even stronger, one could even say, my creative impulse is stirring me, I can't stand it, my heart shall finish this project." Seeing that his son was so determined, Guan Jie immediately took a stand, "That's good, then I'll take you to the interview."

In Nanjing, Zheng Qigui Division Commander's guard back then, Wang Shunxiu, said to Guan Xiaohan: "I lost contact with an old comrade in arms, I was wounded, he carried me, I've been looking for him for more than sixty years, and I'm now posting messages on the Internet every day, I want to see him, and I'm afraid of sacrifices."

Gradually, the veterans felt that the feelings of this young man in front of them were simple, humble and studious, and a kind of affinity was born, so the veterans opened their hearts, poured beans out of a bamboo tube, and said whatever they had to say.

In the interviews with his father, Guan Xiaohan saw a red heart of loyalty, those vivid faces, those tragic legends, tears again and again wet his gaze. Guan Jie was pleased to see his son's emotional intelligence developing and growing. He lost no time in prompting to, "We have to remember those heroic sons and daughters, remember their love for the motherland, and treat their love for the motherland as a matter of course, it becomes an action.
