Why are direct selling companies keen on "collective luxury travel"?

2023-07-07What is the fear of life crashing down!

I have my own basics, which have long been ignored by most people. I got into the directing department of Chinese opera with my own strength, and did professional modeling right after I entered the school; during the university, I also studied acting, broadcasting, fine arts, and gained the qualification of badminton national second grade athlete; I acted in TV dramas and plays, and did playwriting and directing; I won many awards, though not any international awards, but these awards testify to my step-by-step footprints.
While "The Ring" made me who I am, it also easily and gently erased my previous accomplishments. No one mentioned my past, as if I was a parachuted-in soldier who landed directly on the podium of the Golden Horse Awards. The adjectives sent to me were words like luck, opportunity ...... that had nothing to do with my own efforts - I did want to be famous, but not at the cost of denying what I had given.
Then, I was blocked. I am very calm to inventory the harvest after the big red and black: the Golden Horse Award for best newcomer, a cosmetic advertisement endorsement, vase, a take off to become famous, over-acting, a negative impact on the youth ...... I am like the SSE A shares, crazy rushed to the highest point in history after the sparse collapse of the disk.
I chose to go abroad for a while, not to run away from anything, I just didn't want to always have people harping on me about my future plans. The future, in my opinion, is not something that is said, it is something that is done.
I went to England with my entire fortune: 500,000 for the movie "Lust, Caution" and 800,000 for the advertisement. When I signed the contract, I said the endorsement fee was 6 million dollars, but the new advertisement was stopped within a few times. Although I could have frankly kept the 4.8 million dollars after tax of the 6 million dollars for myself, but a gentleman loves his money in his own way, and I eventually returned 4 million dollars.
Before I went out, I didn't know how long I would have to stay abroad or how long the money would last. But I don't fret, I think, I will be able to make a good living for myself.
I was going to find a school to study at, and when I went there, I realized it was very unrealistic. First of all, art schools in the UK have high basic requirements for students, with an IELTS score of 6.5 or above and a TOEFL score of at least 1550. My English level is far from being able to meet the requirements to be admitted. Secondly, the high tuition fees in the UK, even the University of the Arts London, such as public colleges and universities, for the regular admissions of students charged at 10,000 pounds per year, for self-funded students like me, it is 30,000 ~ 40,000 pounds.
I weighed my pockets and dismissed the idea of paying for my own education. Next I found a language course and specialized in English. My goal was to get a full scholarship with good grades. I asked around: the top tier of scholarships at the University of the Arts in London is £18,000 a year - not only do you get to go to school for free, but you can also earn all your living expenses from it.
After that, I started to think about financial problems. The money in my hand can buy a house plus a car in China, but in the UK, it's just a white-collar annual salary level. I don't know when I will have the opportunity to make money, so I don't want to use this old money. And I know that if one is willing to use one's brain, one will surely come up with the best of both worlds.
Two things I learned at university came in handy - art and badminton. In the UK, street performers are a very lucrative career, as long as you have a skill and can show it on the street, you will be rewarded.
My first "show" was an alternative fashion show on the street, where I tore up old newspapers to make a rough shape of a dress and pinned it on my body with a big pin. I tore up the clothes from old newspapers and attached them to my body with pins. Wearing the paper clothes, I stood on the street with a hat in front of me, and that was the start of my business. To match the color scheme of the fashion, I put on a thick layer of powder and wore makeup similar to that of a Japanese Geisha. Seeing my peculiar shape and fresh creativity, passers-by began to enthusiastically throw in coins and banknotes in a short while. I was wearing an MP3 on my waist, listening to English songs with my headphones plugged in, and changing my pose when I got tired of it. After standing on the side of the road for two hours, I had an income of 26 pounds 55 pence.
In the eyes of the British, any act related to creation is considered art. I use oil paint to draw Beijing Opera faces on my face, there is money to be received; carry a bucket of water, use a sponge made of brushes to write calligraphy on the sidewalk, there is money to be received; move a chair, draw portraits for people passing by, there is also money to be received ...... Every day I take out two hours to think of an idea, there will always be dozens of pounds of income. This money is enough for my daily expenses, and this money also makes my life in England gradually less and less strained.
Besides "selling my art", I also "sell my body". Playing badminton has brought me a higher income.
Labor is very expensive in the UK. I found a club, played a game with the resident coach and then talked to the owner and became a part-time club chaperone. At £80 per hour, the owner charged a £20 admin fee and I netted myself £60. That's roughly 15 hours of chaperoning per week, earning me £900 - just enough to cover the rent and the cost of the language classes.
And just like that, a month after arriving in London, I went from eating my way through life to becoming self-sufficient. This self-sufficiency not only gave me stability, but also made me more confident.
Four months after arriving in London, I received an unfamiliar phone call from Bey Logan, president of Weinstein Brothers Films, saying that he wanted to make initial contact to see if there was any possibility of collaboration.
A week later, while I was performing performance art on the street, wrapped in my disposable tablecloth "fashion", Bey Logan appeared in front of me with a big smile on his face. He complimented me on my creativity and beauty, and we had our first brief conversation. What made me happiest was not the compliment, but the fact that I could communicate with him fluently in English. We chatted for a quarter of an hour, and then Bey Logan invited me to dinner. After agreeing on a time and place for dinner, he left with a 100 euro bill in my hat. He said that as a partner, he invited me to dinner; as a passerby, he paid for my performance art.
Being a street performer and badminton escort is ultimately earning a small fortune, and I felt that my talents were more than that, so I set my sights on my old profession, professional modeling.
Through Bey Logan's introduction, I got to know senior members of the British film and television industry, and through them, I met a group of famous make-up artists and image designers in the UK, and eventually contacted Gareth, a fashion designer who has regular cooperation with London Fashion Design Week every year.
I told Gareth that I was a professional model with a lot of stage experience, and that I had an oriental charm and temperament that no other model under his command possessed. I showed him my portraits, and I was convinced that the old Shanghai charm of close-ups and bright red lips would be enough to impress any designer.
I succeeded, and became Garey's "official model" at London Fashion Design Week in 2008. I walked down the catwalk at the fashion show wearing his latest Gothic mask. I didn't have an agent, and the rates were negotiated between me and Gareth. I modeled for a week and was paid 20,000 euros.
Garey was very pleased with me, and with his help, I have met many designers from top international brands. I'm sure I'll grow to be one of the most talked about fashion models in a short time, as long as I'm willing to develop my career in the British fashion industry.
Just when I was making optimistic plans for my future, I received a call from Hong Kong, where I had been granted a Hong Kong Resident Identity Card as a result of the "Quality Migrant Admission Scheme" and was invited by the Hong Kong side to go there for development.
I was greeted in Hong Kong with a contract to work with Jacky Cheung in his new movie "Full Moon Hennessy". Preparing to star in the new movie, I had to go for language lessons again because my Cantonese was terrible. I think communication with people is essential to get on well in a new environment. Everyone around me speaks Cantonese, so I can't change the environment, so I have to adapt to it.
Because no matter what time it is, it is the survival of the fittest, and one can only go far if one is well integrated.
