Let's get back to the topic at hand. My topic today is called "Living in Winter". Why this name? It is because from last year to this year, I met many Chinese entrepreneurs are full of sadness, all say it is a difficult time, I saw a large number of enterprises around me died. To give a simple example, some years ago, some developed by dumping coal bosses basically dead, and then loan sharks bosses are basically dead, and finally do real estate bosses also died seven or eight. The manufacturing industry is also screaming, saying that times are hard and it feels that a severe winter has arrived, so what should we do? What to do? What's going on? China in the end can not go on, we these enterprises can still survive. This can be said to be the boulder weighing on us, filling our eyes and heart.

In this background when everyone is in a state of panic, the central government has frequently come out with policies to de-inventory, de-capacity, de-leverage, and come out with many policies. Economists also put forward a lot of proposals, today the Marshall Plan, tomorrow Reagan economics, the day after tomorrow to Thatcherism, the grassroots entrepreneurs get confused.

Today I would like to take this opportunity to use my position as the head of a think tank, my contact with hundreds of enterprises every year, my professional background in economics, and my decades of experience from the central government to the local government to the market, to talk about today's economic situation in China, its problems, and the way out for the future. Everyone take a little more time to listen to it, it will certainly benefit you. We talk about grasping the general trend, looking for tomorrow, looking for the future, looking for the soul, how do you look for it? Shortly after this event, another tsunami of events unfolded during the Spring Festival this year. Starting from Japan, the Chinese people went crazy, purchasing things in Japan and the whole world, and the Japanese people created a new term called "Bakufu". We all know that China and Japan, especially after Abe came to power, have become enemies in life and death. We and Abe go head to head, and the right-wing forces in Japan represented by Abe are thinking of all the things they want to do in order to bring China's rise to power down again for the third time.

At a time when China's purchases saved Japan, it brings up a very interesting and thought-provoking question. On the one hand, we are today's China to go to production capacity, de-inventory, deleveraging, full overcapacity, from commodities, steel, cement has been to real estate, almost all the products full surplus. On the other hand, the other side is indeed to Europe and the United States and even to Japan to buy crazy. What is the reason for this? What do people go to buy them? The first, we buy a quality product at a good price, the second we buy a very warm service, and the third we buy a lifestyle. Isn't selling something selling these three things? Selling products, selling service, selling lifestyle.

Why am I willing to pay a relatively high price to enjoy it, for example, I went to the Michelin restaurant to spend nearly 10,000 dollars for a meal, of course, we are not officials, we are there to experience. Today's China is not without a market, we have the world's largest purchasing power and consumer power, but today's China lacks the high-quality products, services, lifestyles that our consumers need, so when the door opens, everyone has a passport, and all run out to foreign countries to buy, the reason is so simple.

Well, the "one side of the bundle of grass, one side of the hungry cattle" this problem clearly, we have come to a very simple judgment, today, China's economy, all the problems, that is, our enterprises supply things, and we already have a world vision of the needs of consumers seriously out of touch. What causes such a phenomenon? A lot of so-called economists have prescribed a lot of prescriptions, but as Ma Yun often scolded economists, he said that anyone who believes in economists, must jump off a building. Because they are pursuing the logic above the complete, but the enterprise is a kind of empirical science, must be experimented with again and again in order to be able to do.

Why do Chinese enterprises have difficulties today? It is because of the lack of entrepreneurial spirit, the spirit of craftsmanship, almost everyone is pursuing the rapid expansion, savage growth, why this phenomenon? One of the important reasons is because of our previous macroeconomic policy caused by the so-called investment promotion, and this may be in the past is right, but now look at is more harm than good, the disadvantages are rampant.

The development of the entire human society passes through three stages in terms of economic history.

People have a fatal flaw, especially when we are the boss, always easy to live in yesterday's halo, always easy to immerse in yesterday's experience, not willing to innovate with the times, because yesterday this policy has achieved a large number of business miracles. Here I casually talk about two miracles, a Wanda, an Evergrande.

As you know, the owner of Changlong is called Su Zhigang, who came from a humble background, but Guangdong people are very pragmatic, you rise up to be the sun, Mr. Su is still the chairman of the Federation of Industry and Commerce in Guangzhou. Wanda if not "to real estate thinking", with an immediate effect, short and quick, fast replication of the way, in order to realize the content of the king, in order to smoothly transform, there is still a long way to go, this is the law.

We all know that Evergrande is a miracle in the entire Chinese real estate sector.2008It was once on the verge of death in 2007. At that time, there were many bosses who wanted to acquire Evergrande, so I asked them why they wanted to acquire it. They said, "You don't know, Mr. Wang, Evergrande is already dying, and it is looking for money in Hong Kong, and if it can't find the money, everything will be finished. After all this, what I want to say is that under the established policy of investment promotion, firstly, investment promotion is a must, it is a stage, it is a necessary policy in the late development stage of high-speed industrialization and urbanization. Secondly, the consequences of relying on investment pull are tragic and costly. Today, the entire Chinese economy is sluggish and Chinese people are going abroad to buy explosively, which is one of the consequences. The third key issue is that if we continue to rely on the pulling of investment by flooding the country with water, it will lead to very serious consequences.

The first consequence is that the Government has overstepped its bounds. What problems does government overreach cause? It caused at least tens of thousands of investment and financing platforms, from the central to provincial to local to county have investment platforms, most of these investment platforms are ineffective, prone to corruption, and finally there may be the formation of huge debts. Because the government can not be a referee and a player, special times can be, after the end of the special times, the government must return to its own position.

The second is savage growth. I have a lot of people around me who like to play golf, and finally found that the people who have the most time to enjoy the course, once asked are laid off boss, remember, laid off boss. Ask them about their experience, the first was originally dumped coal, coal does not work, the second is a loan shark, loan sharks can not recover the money, the third is to borrow loan sharks to do real estate, the results of the house can not be sold, get up every day can only look at the house. What to do with so much time? Play golf.

So I call this group of people "four trillion babies", that is, four trillion investment caused by their money is too good to earn. In addition, these four trillion babies also caused a very interesting phenomenon, is to pull the training industry in China in the past few years, these four trillion babies seem to become a good boy, do not earn money, all go to study. Today is the capital art of war, tomorrow is the operation of capital, anyway, teach you mostly speculative things.

I always only believe in common sense, I often use a sentence to tell my staff, including my customers, called "people bully the ground, the ground bully belly", that is to say that when the farmers do not serve the land in the spring time, the winter time crops will bully your belly, you have no harvest, this is a common sense, but in the four trillion dollars of investment to pull down all of our bosses, entrepreneurs believe that doing business is stupid, do capital operations is the master, capital first.
